Georgia Animal Cruelty

This is one of the most heinous accounts of animal cruelty I've ever heard. The criminals pled guilty and will be sentenced next month. Please, write a letter to the judge expressing your desire to see them get the maximum sentence under the law. People who do these things to animals WILL turn their cruelty on humans... it's a fact supported by numerous studies. If you'd like to use a form letter, click the link below. And, let it be known that if Cranky were in charge, Justin and Joshua Moulder AND the parents who brought them into this world would be put to death exactly as this puppy was. No loss of sleep on my part AT ALL.

RE: Sentencing for Justin Moulder and Joshua Moulder

Dear Judge Moore:

I am writing to you in support of the maximum sentence of 90 years in prison for Justin and Joshua Moulder.

In addition to defacing and burglarizing a community center, the defendants duct-taped, doused with paint, set on fire, and baked a puppy to death in a gas oven. According to trial testimony, the puppy thrashed about inside the oven, defecated on herself, and ground her claws down to bloody stumps as she tried in vain to escape. The suffering endured by this animal is beyond anything you or I can imagine.

Justin and Joshua Moulder's horrific actions required planning, deliberation, and callous indifference to life. Furthermore, the defendants showed no remorse after the fact, displaying the dead, brutalized puppy and threatening neighborhood children who would report the crimes. The research on animal abuse is clear: those who torture animals are very likely to commit similar crimes against people. Therefore, I firmly believe that these men should be imprisoned for the rest of their natural lives, and I urge you to impose the maximum penalty when they come before you for sentencing on February 9th.

Sincerely,

Ugh. Reading that just made me shudder.

I know, girl... I know. I can't get this out of my head. It's unfathomable to me how human beings can be so damaged as to inflict this kind of torture on innocent beings. I can see no reason why society should accept these kinds of mutants. My preference would be to see them put to death, since they are so profoundly without conscience, but at the very least, lock them away forever. PLEASE!

done.

I didn't past the first half-sentence before I did the equivalent of holding my hands over my ears and chanting "La La La! Can't hear you!"

Can't stand to read it.

As a huge animal lover and owner of 6 dogs myself, I am literally sick to my stomach after having read what those 2 monsters did to that poor, sweet puppy. My heart is breaking. This is probably a silly question, but can people outside Georgia send a letter to the judge as well? I'm in Colorado.

Yes! I live in Kansas but that didn't stop me! I want that judge to know that people all over the country are outraged and not willing to stand for light sentences for animal abusers. Those jackasses need to rot in prison as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for getting involved, Leigh! So many people shy away from this subject because it's uncomfortable, but it will never end if people like us DON'T get involved.

Thanks again!
