Thank You

Nellie just scooted across the floor at lightning speed, dragging her motionless hind limbs behind her when B came home from work! She got as far as the stairs before I caught up with her! Little devil!

That was totally unexpected, as I had her out of her crate to do some physical therapy. When B came through the door, there was no stopping her from doing what she always does - the Dachshund greet-fest. Here I am, an able bodied human, unable to catch up to a crippled Dachshund! She was just about to try going up the stairs before I caught her, thank God. That was a heart stopper.

A Note From Nellie

AWWWWWWWWW!

Yay, Nellie! She's a feisty little girl. :)

There are days...oh so many days...when I wish I could control the "dachshund greet-fest" just a bit.

I have to go through 10 minutes of boingy-bouncy-boingy- your-face-is-mine boingy-bouncy-boingy with the Hoont.

Good to hear she's moving around though.

Not only is she a good speller - better than most humans - she is corageous and adorable. And gives a whole new meaning to the expression "Whoa, Nellie"!

Yay!!! That is such a great sign about her spirit. It seems like she is not bothered in the least about her little cart!!!!! I am absolutely confident that she will make a speedy recovery!

Mary,

She wasn't IN a cart when she dragged herself at greyhound speed across the floor! We don't have a cart for her yet. Ha! I thought for sure when she got to the stairs it would be back to the hospital time, but she seemed absolutely unhurt afterwards; only tired! :)
