The hospital had rigged her up in a doggie wheelchair cart for our arrival. They gathered the staff around, opened up the doors to the waiting area where we were sitting, and Anne, Nellie's intern for the length of her stay, said, "Okay... watch!" Here came little Nellie truckin' into the waiting room like a pro in her cart! She was thrilled to hear the cheers of everyone in the room. It was so adorable!
We'll have more pictures added to the gallery soon, but I wanted to get even this grainy one of her sleeping up to let all of you know that she's doing well and making progress.
She's keeping us pretty busy with physical therapy, potty demands and such. She's also not too keen on staying in her crate while life goes on around the house, so the picture above shows her in her bed which is sitting on my office desk right next to me. She better get used to the crate, though, because she has at least 6 more weeks in it! We're so happy to have the little one back... :)

Posted by: Jennifer on October 20, 2002 05:50 PMTess, I keep coming back here just to look at her. I shared the picture with Bob earlier, and he was "awwwwww"ing her all over the place.
We both want to rub her belly. And I want to play with the soft part of her face at the edge of her puppy lips.
Mwah!
